Fair Game

The small Adirondack town of Old Forge is a far cry from the luxurious life Libby Carlington left behind back in Los Angeles, but it’s exactly what she and her seven-year-old daughter, Jenny, need for their fresh start. All that’s left in LA are bad memories and an ex-husband who's currently serving time in a California State Prison. The little guest house in her gracious aunt’s backyard is the perfect place to forget their troubled past and begin to heal. But their dreams of a new beginning are quickly shattered when Jenny goes missing during a visit to the local fair.

With the local police department's integrity in question, Libby turns to Brady Walker, a reclusive Adirondack guide and his bloodhound, Hank, for help. Her aunt has assured her that Brady knows the surrounding mountains like the back of his hand and is their best chance at finding Jenny. But Libby must decide if she can depend on the handsome loner and his dog to help search for Jenny, over those officially sworn to serve and protect. The fact that Brady and the town’s Chief of Police have been enemies since childhood is another complication she doesn’t need.

Jenny didn’t just walk away from the fair; someone has taken her and they’re heading deep into the mountains. This isn’t a random abduction - someone specifically targeted her little girl. But who would do such an unthinkable thing and why? Her ex would do it just to see her suffer, but that’s impossible since he’s behind bars. One thing’s for certain, Libby will move heaven and earth to find her daughter and keep her safe, even if it means facing a past she thought she’d left behind.
